After two pre-birthday celebrations (one with my family and one with Bruce's), Alice finally had her real birthday today. Since she'd already had a birthday cake and birthday cookie, we decided to do a birthday pie. All went well until Alice stuck her finger in the candle's flame and burnt herself. After caring for the finger, she did eventually get around to eating a piece of pie. She didn't think much of the crust but ate the blueberries.
