Alice and I went to a Valentine's Day party at a friend's house. It was pretty chaotic--17 kids and about 14 adults all crammed into a medium sized duplex. We decorated a valentine's box, made a candy necklace, and ate some yummy red velvet cupcakes and chocolate dipped strawberries. Alice preferred plain old pretzels though, which was fine.
Here's Alice at home reading all of the valentines she got at the party. Her very very favorite thing was the candy hearts someone put in her box. I didn't have her open her box until we got home because it was so crowded, but I noticed that at the party she was going around snitching other people's candy hearts.

ah, the first valentine box! is alice into frogs? if so, she shares the enthusiasm with many cousins. this was christopher's last year to make a box. i enjoyed seeing him still put some effort into it. griffin made an aircraft carrier and had david spray paint it in camoflauge style.
