Easter

Alice had some friends over for an Easter Party the Wednesday before Easter. It was supposed to be outside, but was way too chilly. We ended up having a picnic on the floor in the family room and having an egg hunt in the living room and Alice's room. All of the kids except Alice stopped at the first egg they found and wanted to open the egg and eat the treat. Alice, on the other hand, took off without her basket and had an armful of eggs before I could bring her a basket. Once she got them in the basket though, she was very intent on opening them all and wasn't very concerned about finding more. I just put animal cookies and cheese crackers in the eggs, but the kids didn't seem to care. In fact, one mother told me later that week that her son wanted all his snacks put in plastic eggs and that he would eat anything as long as it was in a plastic egg first!

Easter day was low key--we had a pot roast with veggies and cake. Alice had been pretty sick the day before, so Bruce took her home after sacrament meeting just in case she was contagious.
