Santa's Watching
Alice was whining about going to bed tonite, so I decided to pull the Santa card, which I haven't actually done yet. I started explaining how Santa watches us at all times and knows if we are being good or bad. If we're good, we get a toy for Christmas, if we're bad, we get a rock (who knows what coal is anymore?). She started looking around, trying to find Santa secretly spying on her and was looking a little scared. To lighten the mood, I played a trick on her that I have to admit I do at least once a week. I'm sure you've all done this multiple times (probably when you were 10). It goes like this--I point at a spot on Alice's shirt and ask, "what's that?" She looks down, I flip my hand up and hit her in the forehead, then we both laugh. Well, this time, instead of laughing she says to me, "You know Mommy, Santa is watching you too."

Kids are so much fun to post about--they always say the most curious things! Have a great Christmas!
That's a good one!
Cora tells me to 'be nice!' when I raise my voice occasionally now. I guess it's a good reminder!
