Things the kids have been saying recently...

Alice (my girl scout)--"Would you like to buy some girl scout cookies?"  "Mom, can I buy a box of girl scout cookies and eat them whenever I want?"  "Mom, how can I earn more money to buy more cookies?"
Myra (my little kitchen helper)--After making a big mess, "That's ok.  Baking is all about making messes."  "Can I use that scrub (aka sponge) to wash some dishes?"  "Mama, I think you might need to clog the sink (aka run the garbage disposal).

Quincy (my big boy)--Instead of yes, he says, "uhhh....fine" or  "sure."  He also likes to say "no fair" and "stop talking."  And the one that stumped us for a long time--"bacon," which he says every time he gets up to the table.  In a way, that makes sense--who wouldn't want bacon for every meal?  But he's really saying, "buckle me in!"  Phew!  We can do that for you buddy--bacon for every meal...no.

Gilbert (my little old man)--Well, he's not saying anything, but here's what other people have been calling him.  Pepaw--"Black Bert"  Faith--"Gilly"  Bruce, Alice and Myra--"Gilbert"  Quincy--"Cryin' Baby" (even when he's not crying).

And some recent pictures of our littlest guy (and other people)...

I guess I have two little babies!

Future Best Buds (or at least we hope so)

First day of church for Gilbert.  Bruce was asked to speak, but he decided to sit with us until it was his turn (he was the last speaker).  Everything was peaceful--the girls weren't talking, Quincy was playing quietly, the baby was sleeping--that is, until Bruce got up to speak. Then all hell broke loose.  I won't elaborate--I'm sure you can imagine.  Thankfully, people around me sensed my desperation and stepped in to help.
