4 Shots for the 4 Year Old

Alice had her 4 year old well-child visit today. We'd warned her that she might get shots--she was concerned but also very interested. This morning I was woken up by a loud excited voice telling Myra that today was the day she would get shots. When we got to the doctor, Alice thought it was very appropriate that she get 4 shots, since she was a 4 year old. She was very brave, and though she did moan a little bit, she was completely still and loved the shiny band aids and the princess stickers she was given. The nurse said it was her lucky day to have a child that submissive and we heard her out in the hall telling the other nurses. Alice weighed in at 40 pounds and 41.5 inches, so about the 75th percentile in both categories. I talked to my mom today and she remembers me being 44 pounds and 44 inches at 4--I guess that was pretty easy to remember!
