Halloween

Word up it's Word Girl!  (PBS superhero)
So, I got lazy and didn't come up with the required boots that the cartoon has.  I didn't think Alice would notice--what was I thinking?  We had a hard time getting her into shoes because for her it was red boots or nothing.

This was for a party we went to (believe me, Bruce did not dress up to go trick-or-treating).  On the way to the party, we had to pick up some crackers up at the grocery store and I was the lucky one who got to go in.

After two practice rounds of trick-or-treating at parties, the night has finally arrived!  Shoes are on (after much cajoling), bellies are empty (they were too excited to eat anything for dinner), it's 6pm--let's go!

The girls absolutely loved every second of it.  Most of the neighbors had chairs pulled up in their driveways, some with bonfires going and music blasting, so we were able to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time.  Myra almost made a hole in her bag because it got so heavy she started dragging it, and of course, didn't want anyone else to hold it.  They didn't really want to say trick-or-treat, but they said thank you every time.

I call first dibs!

I call all the nasty powdery stuff--fun dips, pixie sticks, etc.

Send all the lollipops my way!

Next day--more powdery stuff.
